Mn is a kind of gray, hard brittle and shiny metal. Mn exist widely in nature. The soil contains 0.25% Mn. Tea, wheat and hard shelled fruits contain more Mn. In the metallurgical industry, Mn is used to manufacture special steel. In the iron and steel production, Manganese titanium alloy is used as the desulfurizing agent and deoxidizer. Mn is one of essential trace elements in normal organism. Mn consists of several kinds of enzymes, which have important physiological functions in the body. Normally, our bodies absorb about 3-9 mg Mn from daily food, which is necessary for normal bone structure. The chronic Mn poisoning is a disease by change the nervous system. caused by the long-term exposure to the Mn dust. The early performances are the neurasthenic syndrome and the vegetative nerve dysfunction. The apparent performances are the extrapyramidal damage and accompanied by mental symptoms. This product uses spectrophotometric method. After mixing the water and the buffer, Mn converts to high valence ions in the presence of strong oxidizer. Then, the high ions and the indicator react to a colored complex, in the presence of the buffer solution and the indicator. The analyzer detect the change of color, convert and output the Mn value. The amount of the generated colored complex is equivalent to the amount of Mn.
