Product Overview

       The NH3-N in the water refers to free NH3. The NH3 mainly comes from the decomposition products of organic nitrogen compounds wastewater by microbial action, industrial wastewater containing coking ammonia and farmland drainage. The water with high content of NH3-N shows toxic effects on fish and has different degrees of harm on human beings. Determination of NH3-N content in water helps to evaluate the status of pollution and self-purification. So NH3-N is an important indicator of water pollution.

      This analyzer can automatic continuous work for long-term in an unattended manner. And it is widely used in industrial pollution discharge wastewater, municipal wastewater treatment plants, surface water and so on. Depending on the complexity at the scene, for ensure reliable and accurate testing, can choose different pre-treatment system.


Product Principle

       In the alkaline medium (pH =11.7), the ammonia and ammonium ions in the sample reacts with the hypochlorite released from sodium dichloroisocyanurate solution to form chloramine. Under the condition of 40℃ and with the presence of sodium nitroferricyanide, the chloramine reacts with the salicylate to form blue-green compounds, and then the absorbance is measured with a spectrophotometer at the specific wavelength.
